Selecting a costume for Halloween is just as fun as attending an actual party and going trick of treating. Here are some ideas for couples seeking some unique costumes.
- 1. Video Game Characters
Couples can dress up in costumes of popular characters from video game franchises. For example, Princess Peach and Mario from the Super Mario Bros series are some classic protagonists to consider. Similarly, Princess Zelda and Link from the Legend of Zelda series make up one of the most popular fictional couples from video games. It can also be fun for the guy to dress up as a protagonist and the girl to wear a costume of an antagonist, or vice versa.
2. Horror Themes
Since Halloween is full of spooky and scary themes, couples can consider wearing costumes that bring back to life some frightening characters from horror movies. The female could dress up as an innocent victim who is pursued by grotesque or psychotic killers. Some popular horror movie characters to consider include Chucky, Frankenstein, and Freddy Kreuger. There are other generic costumes that represent popular feared horror movie characters such as zombies and masked psychos. Ladies could also dress up as villainesses who have been known to terrorize unsuspecting men in science fiction movies.
3. Real High Profile Couples
For Halloween, it’s also fun for a couple to select costumes of popular couples from Hollywood, politics, and elite social circles. Some options to explore include a U.S. president and a first lady. It may also be fun to dress up as celebrities who are always in pursuit by the papparazi and the international media. Fans of infamous real life couples may want to explore costume ideas inspired by Bonnie and Clyde and other notorious mates, such as mob bosses and their wives.
