It wouldn’t feel like Christmas without all of the festive light displays. Why not check out some of these fabulous displays throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts? It’s a great way to get into the holiday spirit!
The Magic of Christmas, Audubon Street
For the past nine years, this house has come to life for the holiday season. This year, you’ll see a huge 25 foot tree, a Nativity scene, and blow molds galore. You can view the lights from around 5 pm to 10:45 every night.
East Providence, RI
The Frisina Family Lights, 283 Massasoit Avenue, East
This family has decorated their home for the past eight years and it features a huge light display. You can also tune in your car radio to 89.9 FM to listen to Christmas music as you view their lights. Lights come on around 5 pm and stay on until around 9:30 pm. If you want to donate, your contribution goes to the Providence Chapter of the Ronald McDonald House.
Giroux Family Christmas Display, 69 Outlook Avenue
This family’s 11 year decorating history led to an amazing synchronized light show with Christmas carols. Just tune your car radio to 107.5 FM to enjoy the music. This light display continues until January 8th, with lights on during the work week between 5:30 pm and 9 pm and extended until 10 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Lights for Lives, 84 Hayden Avenue
This Tiverton home offers more than 50,000 dancing lights synced to music on 91.7 FM. It runs until New Year’s Day between 4 pm and 9 pm on Monday through Thursday, and 6 pm to 9 pm on Friday and Saturday.
Besides the massive light display, you’ll also enjoy angels, blow molds, a mailbox for wish lists, and a sleigh for photos. They’re collecting donations for The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island and the Tiverton Food Pantry.
Souza’s Holiday Spectacle, 8 North Street
Since 2010, the Souza family has continually added to their display. This year, you’ll see a handmade Ferris wheel, nutcrackers, gingerbread house, Nativity scene, and more. The display runs until New Year’s Day, 4:30 to 8:30 pm.
The Lewis Family Light Show, 12 Shenandoah Road
For 22 years, this home transforms into a holiday mecca. High tech, dancing lights and music run until year end Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 8:55 pm and Friday and Saturday nights from 5 to 9:25 pm. Tune into 106.9 FM to listen to the music. They’re accepting donations for The Autism Project.
Picozzi Family Christmas Display, 75 Gristmill Road
This is the 11th year from an animated display, but the family started decorating their home more than 30 years ago. Today, enjoy a high-tech computerized show, handmade decorations, and music on 97.1 FM.
The display runs until year-end, Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 to 9 pm and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 to 10 pm. Santa also visits on Saturdays between 7 and 8:30 pm. Donations support The Tomorrow Fund of Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
A Rayhall Christmas, 47 Calvalcade Blvd
Enjoy programmed lights synced to music on 93.7 FM. The display runs nightly until January 1st, Monday-Thursday from 6 to 9 pm and Friday-Sunday until 10:30 pm. Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus on December 22nd and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and a candy cane.
Daniels’ Holiday House of Warwick, 69 Darrow Drive
Synchronized dancing lights and holiday music make this a must-see in the area. This year the display features snowflakes, candy canes, reindeer, and singing trees. Check their Facebook page for times.
Moussally Christmas Display, 11 Lakecrest Circle
This is a display best experienced on foot. You’ll enjoy multiple walking paths, a Nativity scene, Santa’s workshop, and lighted archways, plus there’s a snow machine.
Lights shine between 6 pm and 9 pm Sunday through Thursday. The time extends to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. They’re collecting donations for the Warwick Animal Shelter.
The Kinne Christmas Display, 49 Duncan Rd
This is the 11th year for this display packed with lights, inflatables, and Christmas trees. Enjoy the display between 4:30 and 11:00 pm nightly until year-end.
West Warwick, RI
Lenox Avenue Lights, 10 Lenox Avenue
This is their 20th year of adding holiday cheer to their neighborhood. You’ll find illuminated candy canes, trees decked out in festive decorations, Christmas characters, and delightful holiday music. The display runs nightly from 6 to 10 pm until New Year’s Day.
Sachs Family Lights Extravaganza, 21 Mann Street
Just over the Rhode Island border lays a magical world of holiday cheer. The display features a huge tree, arches leaping with lights, and music on 101.7 FM. The display runs between 6 and 10 pm Sunday through Thursday, and until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday until New Year’s Eve.
There’s also an open house with snacks and Santa on December 22nd between 6 and 8 pm. They’re collecting donations for Gilly’s House, a sober living house in Wrentham, Mass.
Fall River, MA
Pereira’s Christmas Light Show, 481 Ridge St
This home offers a synchronized light and music display which includes a mailbox for the children’s Christmas letters. The display runs nightly until New Year’s day between 4:30 and 9:00 pm.
Holiday Magic by Tyler, 83 Tolman Avenue, North
It’s worth it to cross the river to visit this wonderland of inflatables and plastic figures. The display runs until January 4th between 5 and 9 pm. They’re collecting donations for Toys for Tots, so please bring a new, unwrapped toy when you visit.
Kut Family Christmas Display, 70 Summerfield Ave
Visit this giant gingerbread house adorned with almost 50,000 lights. The display also features two giant trees, homemade decorations, and blow molds galore. You can’t miss the huge star suspended above their house to guide you to their location. The display runs until New Year’s Day between 5 and 10 pm and it snows every time a car pulls up too.
The Hills Spectacular Christmas Light Display, 63 Patton Ave
With over 45,000 lights, a huge tree, and Santa’s sleigh complete with reindeer, this is a display you don’t want to miss. Kids can post their letter to Santa and receive a reply too. The lights switch on between 5 and 10 pm until New Year’s Day.
