When you think of the word ‘father’ what pops into your mind (no pun intended)? Obscene amounts of candy your mother would never approve of, tireless hours of perusing through technological gold at Radio Shack and Best Buy, hot summer days spent in the pool, or watching wrestling matches at three months old and knowing when an opponent was losing… Regardless of the crazy times you’ve had with your dad (some may be similar, some may be totally different), it is most agreeable that every father is not the same. So, why then, would you get every father the same card or gift? Here are five cards and five gifts for ten different Dad personalities!

1. The Geek

1. The Intellect
This is the type of Dad who is forever taking notes, jotting down ideas, or sketching, but may sometimes lose them. Get him the Smart Notebook by Evernote (via Moleskine) that allows you to use your smartphone to send pictures of the pages to your Evernote account. Never a lost note again!

2. The Grill Handler
This type of dad is one to love having friends and family over and loves manning the grill. Get something to make him feel more official like a chef coat!

3. The Musician
Every guitar playing dad knows that sometimes a lost pick is hard to find, so get him something useful like a pick punch!

4. The Riddle Master
There are some Dad’s who will stop at nothing to understand a tricky situation. Give him a tricky one like this:

I turn polar bears white
And I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee
And girls comb their hair.
I make celebrities look stupid
And normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown
And make your champagne bubble.
If you squeeze me, I’ll pop.
If you look at me, you’ll pop.
Can you answer this riddle?

(The answer is Pressure).

5. The Dad-to-Be
You can’t forget about the new dad which is why there are two options for his gift.
• Surprise him with a game of Scrabble to let him know he is going to be a dad! They say the best way to tell someone something is to s-p-e-l-l it out, so why not take it literally?

• Get him a shirt that says it all:
