The Fight for Air Stair Climb took place on Saturday, March 28th at the Omni Hotel in Providence. The stair climb is an annual fundraiser held by the American Lung Association. The participants climb 44 flights of stairs/22 floors competing as teams and individuals.
Loiselle Insurance Agency sent five brave (and fit) team members to climb the 44 flights of stairs. The team, Stairway to Huffin’, consisted of Lina Fonseca, Geoff Mongeon, Melanie Loiselle-Mongeon, Larry Rosa and Janet Stanton. They were climbing in honor of Theresa Tanguay, dear mom to one of our employees, who is currently battling lung cancer.
Our casual Friday’s for both February and March were all donated to sponsor the team. The combined effort of these contributions as well as other donations helped Stairway to Huffin’ raise a total of $1325. The 2015 Providence Fight for Air Stair Climb raised $185,859 dollars for the American Lung Association with over 900 participants.
Loiselle Agency is proud of our team, with each member finishing his or her climb in 5 minutes or less! The first place team, finishing with the fastest overall results, was the Rhode Island State Police…that’s reassuring! Feel free to watch our video of the event above.
