November and December are months that we celebrate the season with friends and family and often those celebrations are accompanied by delicious handmade feasts and guilt ridden treats and sweets.  For families less fortunate, they struggle with putting the very basic necessities on the table for their family.  With this in mind, the staff at Loiselle Insurance Agency nominated the RI Community Food Bank to be the charity that benefited from our casual Friday’s during the months of November and December.

Our employees who opted to dress down on Friday’s have donated nearly $550 to help put a meal on the table for a less fortunate family this holiday season.  In addition to raising monetary donations, we simultaneously collected non-perishable food items to help make sure no one in our community goes hungry. For every donation, the donor was entered into our drawing in which one lucky winner would receive a $100 gift card to one of our local partners! We would like to congratulate Wes Wright who saw our food drive poster at our local bank and dropped off a donation. Today we awarded him with a $100 gift card to the local partner of his choice, which happened to be Shore’s Market in North Providence.  Thank you to Wes, our clients, community members and employees who all donated to our food drive.

If you can spare just $1, you can help obtain 3 pounds of healthy food. Every year, the RI Community Food Bank serves more than 63,000 Rhode Islanders each month and nearly one in three meals served is for a child under the age of 18.

We thank all those who participated in our food drive, as well as our employees who participated in Casual Friday’s.
