Now that spring break is over you might be jumping forward to summer in your thoughts.  What will you do this summer to pass the time?  If you have been toying with the idea of camping but don’t quite want to go all out in the “roughing it” department, you might want to think about getting an RV.

There are so many different types of recreational vehicles (RVs) out there that could suit your every need.  Some are drivable.  Some are towed behind your car or truck.  Others can be fixed to the bed of your truck making it its own RV.  Which type are you thinking about purchasing?

You might find that like automobiles RVs can be purchased either new or used.  Depending on your budget you can find the perfect fit for you and your camping family.  If you are not quite sure about making the leap into RV ownership just yet, see if you can borrow one from a friend to see if you like it.  If you find you are bit by the RV bug and want to purchase your own, do not forget to give us a call for a quote on RV insurance.

You might wonder why you would need RV insurance.  Doesn’t your car insurance cover damage to your RV?  The answer to that is no.  Your RV is considered personal property, but it is not covered like other personal property on your homeowner’s policy.  You will need to have separate coverage if you plan on using your RV at all.

We can fill you in on RV insurance costs as well as give you a couple of competitive quotes.  Hopefully you will enjoy your new RV and have a wonderful lifetime of camping trips with your family and friends.  Here’s to a great summer spent outdoors!
