This Veterans Day, Loiselle Insurance Agency was honored to participate in Progressive’s “Keys to Progress” event at the Progressive Service Center inIMG_6234 Johnston, Rhode Island.  Agency owners, Bob Loiselle, Melanie Loiselle-Mongeon, and Brenda Loiselle-DuClos as well as the agency’s digital marketing expert, Erika Lague, attended the ceremony on November 11th.

In 57 different events across the country, Progressive celebrated Veterans Day by giving away 117 refurbished vehicles to veterans and their families.  Two local veterans, Jonathan Bermudez and Neldoriel Perez, were the deserving recipients at yesterday’s IMG_6264event in Johnston.  Both men served in the US Army but had a hard time adjusting to civilian life after being honorably discharged a couple of years ago.  Operation Stand Down Rhode Island stepped in to help each of them find stable and safe housing, as well as assist them in finding secure jobs. However, one major thing that both men were still lacking was reliable transportation to get them to and from work…that’s when Progressive stepped in to alleviate that problem.

Progressive partnered with the National Auto Body Council, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 1-800-Charity CarIMG_6271, and Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States to present Perez with a black 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe and a dark gray 2012 Subaru Forester to Bermudez. Both vehicles were previously involved in a claim but were fully restored for the veterans as part of the NABC Recycled Rides campaign.

Not only did these deserving veterans receive a means of transportation, but the men also got six months of car insurance paid for by Enterprise. Loiselle Insurance Agency was chosen by Progressive to be the insurance agent for these gentlemen. We thank these men, and all the veterans and active military members, for their service.  We wish Jonathan and Neldoriel the best with their new cars and wish them nothing but success as they move forward in life!
