Are you looking for ways to save more money but don’t know where to start?  The best way to save more money is to spend less money.  Seems obvious, doesn’t it?  The thing is a lot of people don’t quite realize how much they are actually spending every day.  Cutting back on a lot of the daily indulgences we all have grown accustomed to may be a great away to save a few bucks.

The first thing you can try is taking less frequent trips to the coffee shop.  Those daily trips can add up to a lot of money sipped away.  Instead of spending over $2.00 on a cup of coffee each day (or more if you enjoy more than one cup) try brewing your coffee at home.  Invest in a good thermos and you will have fresh hot coffee all day long at a fraction of the cost.  Try putting the money you would have used at the coffee shop in a jar instead.  Count it up at the end of the month and see how much you saved.

The next thing you can do is cut back on your monthly television bill.  How many channels do you really need anyway?  You most likely do not watch even half of the channels provided to you.  Switch to the most basic plan with your cable or satellite provider or cancel your service altogether.  You can always subscribe to internet television or become a member of a television streaming site for a much smaller fee.

Just making small changes like brewing your own coffee and lowering your monthly television bill can help you save a lot of money.  Just don’t forget to then SAVE that money.  Open a savings account at a bank you trust and do not touch the money until you have saved your goal amount.
