Brenda Loiselle-DuClos attended the Festival this past Sunday with her son, Hunter and said it was a great day, with lots of activities for both young and old.IMG_6253

IMG_6258The park was hopping with over 75 tents filled with a wide variety of artists and crafters. It was a chance to get your holiday shopping started early or buy yourself a special treat. You could find everything from hand crafted jewelry, accessories, wood carvings, children’s toys, pottery, soap, and kitchen ware. For your furry friends, there were pet treats, pet collars, and even hand crafted pet clothing. Of course there were traditional artists including painters, photographers, and even a caricaturist.

If you were not interested in shopping, then hopefully you showed up on an empty stomach because IMG_6256the delicious smells from over a dozen food trucks filled the Slater Park crisp fall air. They had everything from smoothies, crepes, BBQ food and even high end French cuisine…you name it, and they had it! Brenda enjoyed the all natural watermelon slushy which was made from pure crushed watermelon! Yum Yum!

IMG_6261Hunter also had a great time! The Festival really catered to children of all ages. He especially liked RockABaby (for more information click here!) He was bouncing and grooving to their tunes along with plenty of other toddlers! The children sang along with the RockABaby puppets and played IMG_6257along to the beat with their egg shakers. For the grown ups, the philharmonic played Sunday night and drew a big crowd. The concert was then followed by a fabulous fireworks display!
